Name: Harte Locke Und
Domain: Goodwill.
Pantheon: Signet
Powers: Perhaps not a power, but Harte’s serenity and good heart seems to have a greatly settling effect on those around him. His presence can be considered a gesture of goodwill during business transactions and other deals and agreements, especially among gods.
Personality: Meditative, patient, logical, firm and just, and most importantly, endlessly compassionate. He is always willing to open his heart and help those in need simply for the sake of goodwill. (The original Buddhist?) Unfortunately, Harte gets very flustered in cases of racy jokes, acts of libido, and when he’s flirted with.
History: Harte was born from the aether by the desire of the gods of Signet: They needed a deity to counter-balance Miruli’s unsettling and often terrible power. Thus Harte came into being with a great need and inclination to act on his compassion for the cause of mortals and his fellow gods, and he did so for time uncertain. Since the wars that tore apart the world began, however, there has been a loss of goodwill in humanity, and Harte has found himself weakened and unable to do his job. He began to spend a great deal of time deeply asleep, only waking if he was called on by his fellow gods. Worried by the dwindling of Harte’s domain, the goddesses of dreams and life worked together to keep Harte from fading completely; as a result, the god of goodwill is often found in a coma-like slumber between times when he is actually needed.
Appearance: Kind of cute, with tall gold wings that can disappear and reappear as he wills it, long white hair in curved layers, and fair skin. He wears a deep purple robe with long, full sleeves, and embroidery with his symbols in gold at the collar and hem. He also has a kesa of deep green draped over his left shoulder, held with a thin gold belt, a gold choker, plain gold rings on both middle fingers, and deep green slippers. Harte is often seen with his eyes closed contemplatively; he claims it helps him see into the hearts of mortals. Surprisingly, he gets around without accident, despite the fact he rarely opens his eyes.
