Name: Eir
Sex: Female
Domain: Goddess of Healing
Powers: The ability to heal injured people. Can heal 20 people max at same time. Small amount of resurrection power. Can sense who (if any) is virtuous and kind.
Pantheon: Asgard
RP sample: Eir was in her favourite garden collecting flowers to put in her hair. She suddenly heard the cries of people dieing and killing. She arrived at the battlescene to find 2 armies fighting without mercy. She looked on in horror as she witnessed blood and body parts strewn across the landscape. She looked deep within herself and immeadiately saw who deserved to live. She quickly began using small healing spells on one of the armies. At first it worked and the enemy was beginning to fear what was happening. Eir first heard then saw planes up above. The enemy began retreating and it was sonn apparent why. Bombs rained down from the sky and obliterated her army. She looked at the lifeless mass of blood left on the floor. She knew what she had to do. She couldnt let the other army win. She lifted her arms above her head, closed her eyes and began chanting. She put her arms infront of her, palms out, and the bloody mess began to glow. The enemy stopped their cheering and began to get scared. Eir then released a huge glowing pure white ball of energy which engulfed her dead army. They then slowly rose and Eir fell to the ground, drained of her energy. The revived armies new vigour led them to quickly kill the other army.
History: Eir was once one of the Valkyries, loyal to Odin. She dutifully carried out her duties and was favoured by Odin. After hundreds of yesrs devoted to Odin he granted her the status of goddess. She was given the ability to heal and resurrect as long as she didnt interfere where she had no right. As she watched one particular war, she saw who imeadiately would be taken to Odin by his Valkyries. A young man named Boros was letting his friends escape on a cart. He was fighting alone and doing very well, however Eir knew he would die. As she watched Boros she fell in love with him and suddenly had a desire to keep him alive. She was torn between her love for a man she didnt know or an oath she had already made. She chose her divinity as goddess as she knew she could never marry this man. So she waited for his death and sure enough he died. However his enemies didnt treat him with respect as they should, they mutilated his body which angered Eir. She then focused on resurrecting Boros. She put all of her power into it until his body filled with life once more. Eir then resurrected him every time he died until his enemies were dead or ran away with fear. However, Odin had seen what she did and immeadiately struck down Boros and brought him to Valhalla himself. He then summoned Eir to his side. When she arrived in his chambe he stripped her of the power of resurrection so she couldnt resurrect indefinately and also weakened her power to heal. This would punish her forever as she would only be able to prevent death on few people.
Appearance: Eir has a slender body that is delicately hidden beneath a long white dress. She has light blue eyes that instill hope into whomever loks in them. Eir has straight blonde hair that ends above her buttocks.
