Tyr was standing in the sleeping halls of the Gods, where they rested during the long sleep leading up until now. He placed his hand in the root that housed his bodies all these years and smiled softly. Idun was behind him, during all these years she was the only one left awake, being given the tireless job of keeping the form of the immortals youthful.
"Thank you for letting me back in here, I know it is a hassle to keep resealing this place, especially after we all scared you to death during the reawakening."
She smiled a cute and innocent smile, watching him as he scanned the room.
"There is no trouble at all master Tyr, my job was limited up until the great sleep, I was simply happy to help. And to tell the truth it was great to see my husband wake again."
He looked at her for a moment and then nodded, something caught him as odd during the scan though and he couldn't quite place it. It looked as though most of the roots were open, but something sat uneasy with him. It is when he looked up to the place of Odin that he noticed it. One of the Gods still rested, odd especially considering his position.
"Idun, who is sleeping in that spot? They didn't wake up for some reason."
After a quick look her eyes widened, she knew exactally who it was that was supposed to be there. If he was not roused it was certainly a bad sign for Asgard.
"Why, that is where the mighty Thor rests! But what is it that-"
"Where is Mjollnir Idun? Do you remember where it was to be kept?"
She wasn't supposed to look after the holy weapons, those were kept in the halls of the Gods, and those halls were supposed to be sealed. Only person that could get to them would be...
"The Dwarves..."
"The hammer is probably somewhere on Midgard now, not even Heimdall would be able to see it. I'm worried Idun, both for the reason that one of our greatest warriors is still asleep. Not only that... but if the wrong mortal stumbles across Mjollnir..."
"Should we tell Odin?"
"The All-father will have enough to worry about with all the new Immortals. I will take care of this myself, praying to all the nine worlds that I find it before something terrible happens."

Tyr stepped into the halls of Frigg, saying a silent prayer to the All-Father that she would help in a case this dire. It has been a while since he saw Frigg... and he would never hear the end of it probably. She is his mother after all.
"Mother, I have come to ask a favor of you. Something dire has happened during the awakening sequence. And I feel only you can help."
Frigg heard her son speaking and almost flew around a corner, embracing him whole heartedly. There was a motherly peck on the cheek that can only come from thousands of years of not being able to see your son.
"You should have visited earlier, I havn't been able to speak with you for so long. I know we both have duties, but would it be so hard for you to see me when you don't have a favor to ask?"
Tyr allowed her to go through her initial rant, he knew that it was coming. It was tough for most people to see thier mothers after such a long absence. It is a multiplied effect when your mom is the Goddess of Motherhood.
"Mother, I promise I will stop in after my next jo-"
"You better."
"I will, anyway this has to do with Thor. He didn't wake up during the reawakening. We now know it is because Mjollnir is missing. I need help finding it, it can be anywhere on Midgard."
She sits across from him and breathes a heavy sigh. Everyone comes to her wanting the same thing. Everybody wants to know how things will turn out, how things will end. She has told herself time and time again she wouldn't reveal her visions to anybody.
"Tyr, I love you, and I know you are frightened. But you know why I can't do this."
"Please mother! Anything, a clue of any sort. I need to find Mjollnir before our enemies figure out that Thor is out of commission. I do not want Ragnarok to come already, not so soon."
She looked at her feet, tapping them to the ground a few times. She is thinking deeply, trying to work up the strength to not hate herself if she reveals this information. Maybe if she just gave him a broad answer it wouldn't be such a terrible break of her oath.
"I cannot tell you where you will find the hammer because you will not be the one who finds it..."
"Odin blast it all..."
"But, you will meet the one who does in what the mortals call Africa."
His eyes widen for a moment before he shoots to his feet, kisses and thanks his mother, then flies out the door to the hall. Frigg is left there, kicking at the dust beneath her feet wondering if she did the right thing. Now she has to make sure her son dosn't find it first.

Tyr has wandered the Sahara, seen the streaches of the Savannah, and searched the streaches of civilization that Africa had to offer. And still he found himself coming up absent, even the assistance of Heimdall wasn't enough to find him what he was searching for. He stopped in a small egyptian town, not knowing its name, nor caring to search for it. He was just looking for something to take his mind off of things. He picked up one of the local newspapers, as he often did during stops. The world had changed much since he first went to sleep, and even if the search for Mjolner wasn't fruitful he had thought that this trip in the end would gain him something. He was still cursing the announcement that the President of the United States made recently. He didn't even recognize a "United States" last time he was awake. It was as he was looking over this particular paper he found a story that made his heart sink.
"Oh by the eye of Odin, I am going to be too late."
The story was of the diamond mines found at the Northen part of South Africa. There have been recent strange occurences that seem to be occuring around a certain one. Thunderstorms start up at the same time every night, and locals report haunting sounds to the point that some refuse to work. This news would spread, or else it already has. Newspapers around the world would report on this along due to the speech the president made.
